Sharpe Instruments Introduces Line of Affordable Professional Quality Woodwind and Brass Instruments for Middle And High School Students and School Bands

Miami-based Sharpe Instruments, Inc., announced at the Florida Band Association State Conference the launch of their line of standard woodwind and brass instruments designed for school bands

TAMPA, FL (PRWEB) January 8, 2004 --Today, Miami-based Sharpe Instruments, Inc., announced at the Florida Band Association State Conference the launch of their line of standard woodwind and brass instruments designed for school bands. Sharpe Instruments provides professional quality musical instruments at affordable prices for any family budget. Sharpe Instruments are made from the finest materials and are manufactured in China.

Sharpe Instruments include flute, oboe, B flat clarinet, bassoon, alto and tenor saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone and tuba. The woodwinds are available in wood, with the exception of the flute which is made from nickel or silver plate. Sharpe provides musicians any standard wind band instrument, including percussion, as well as gouging and per-gouging machines for double reed players.

Sharpe Instruments was founded by Douglas Mead and Xiao Zhou, both of whom are active professional musicians in the Miami, Florida area serving as principal oboe and bassoon, respectively, in the Miami Symphony Orchestra.

One of the many problems surrounding music education in both public and private schools is the lack of affordable quality instruments available to students," said Mead. Many of the established instrumental manufacturers have slowly raised costs throughout the last ten years making even used instruments unattainable for many students or schools."
