Philadelphia Hip Hop Recording Artist, Ursula Rucker Performs in Brooklyn
Philadelphia hip hop recording artist and poet, Ursula Rucker , performs in concert, on Saturday, January 24, 2004 in Brooklyn, New York. Rucker's latest album release is "Silver or Lead" (K7 Records).
NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 8, 2004 --Philly bred poet and hip hop recording artist Ursula Rucker hits Brooklyn on January 24, 2004 to perform off of her latest album, "Silver or Lead" (K7 Records). The show will also feature soul singer Marlon Saunders, lead singer of the band Mood Control.
Ursula Rucker first gained notoriety in the late 90's from her collaboration with ecclectic Philadelphia hip hop band, The Roots. Rucker's first album, "Supa Sista" received rave reviews in the US and abroad.
Marlon Saunders, Maryland native, has worked with Billy Joel, Sting, Barry White, Bobby McFerrin and others. Saunders debut album "Enter My Mind" (Black Honey Records), is a mix of "romantic and spiritual love inspired by funk".
Ursula Rucker and Marlon Saunders perform at The Five Spot in Brooklyn, Saturday, January 24th, doors open at 9pm. Hosted by DuEwa, Brooklyn based hip hop/jazz poet and performance artist. Music by DJ Obah.
