First published book makes 16-year-old teenager among youngest authors in history

Marvin Barrios, a sixteen-year-old author, has his first book published. His first book, Empala and the Floating Cities, was published in November of 2003. A couple of months after, Barrios has returned promoting his book with book tours, book signings, and more appearances on television and radio.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) January 9, 2004 --Marvin Barrios, a sixteen-year-old author, has his first book published. His first book, Empala and the Floating Cities, was published in November of 2003. A couple of months after, Barrios has returned promoting his book with book tours, book signings, and more appearances on television and radio.

Marvin Barrios worked the majority of 2003 getting his book out to agents. Over the summer of that year, his agent, Mark Fleming, took over Barrios project. The book, which is a science-fiction romance, takes place in the year 2016, and introduces Jane Crane, the protagonist of the story and the main character of Barrios five-book series called, Empala.

Empala and the Floating Cities was released on November 1, 2003 in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom by Empala Press. The book has been endorsed by members of the media. It is selling well in the United States, especially in the West Coast where Barrios promoted his book the most. The author has appeared in local and national newscasts with media outlets like NBC and NBC Telemundo.

In addition to writing the book, Barrios has been named executive producer of Floating Cities, a movie based on his book, Empala and the Floating Cities. Floating Cities will begin production later this year.

Marvin Barrios is considered one of the world's youngest authors. His first book, Empala and the Floating Cities, is Barrios' first installment of his five-book series called, Empala. He currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Empala Press, a division of Multichannel Solutions LLC, was named after Barrios first book. The company, founded by Mark Fleming, will publish Marvin Barrios books, as well as other newly rising authors. Multichannel Solutions LLC is the parent company of Xtreme Cars and Stars, Empala Press, and Empala Productions. The companies are based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and are lead by Mark Fleming.
