SUCCESSFUL ALLIANCE OF WBS AND e-TEMPEST
The marriage between Harrogate-based e-tempest Limited and wbs Consulting of Leeds has been declared a resounding success.
(PRWEB) January 9, 2004 --In the first six months since the partnership was formed last March,
e-tempest has expanded its development team and extended its portfolio of services. It has also reported a 45% increase in new business compared with the same period the previous year.
New contracts awarded to the IT solutions providers include projects for clients in the professional services sector, retail and distribution, and the National Health Service.
e-tempest has also developed an advanced e-commerce site for BettysbyPost, the highly successful website of renowned traditional English family business Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate Limited.
The alliance between the two companies has been further strengthened through operational changes. e-tempests co-founder Mike Ormersher is now a director of wbs Consulting, and wbs Consulting director John Scarisbrick becomes the new face of e-tempest as managing director.
From the outset our plan was for e-tempest to retain its own identity while becoming an integral part of the wbs group. There is certainly a significant role for it to play within the larger wbs organisation enabling us to develop IT solutions to the financial services sector," said John.
Only recently the companies heard their combined in-house services had secured a contract to assist OGCbuying.solutions and OGC, the Government procurement body, to develop a common statement of requirement for the core modules of accounting systems for Civil Central Government.
