The Discord Aggregate Intersection Seeks Artists For Their Monthly Artist Salon.
Discord Aggregate (a group of experimental artists whose efforts are dedicated to exploring new ideas, forms and techniques in art) is currently inviting artists to contact them if they are interested in either presenting or participating in the Intersection, a monthly art salon for artists and those who love art. The first Intersection is scheduled for Sunday, February 22nd, at 7:00 pm in NE Portland. The Intersection is a gathering place for artists and those who love art to connect and enjoy an evening about art and the process of creation. We live in a city crammed with artists that rarely meet each other" states Discord Aggregates Composer in Residence Pamela Zero. We started the Intersection to allow artists and those that love art the chance to interact, to explore art and the process of creation in a way that moves past the formal boundaries of artistic disciplines. In manifesting The Discord Aggregate Intersection, we are hoping to provide a gathering place for artists and those that whirl about them - patrons, lovers of the arts, critics, press, managers, etc."
The Discord Aggregate Intersection is also intended as a testing ground for artistic approaches and ideas. It is a place where artists can bring their non-commercial work, work in progress and experimental work. Each Intersection consists of a presentation by an artist, a Q&A session, an open mic session and plenty of time for artists to interact informally.
