Fans Unite to Support RUSH Toronto, Ontario

Fans will gather once again with hearts and minds united" to support their favorite band-RUSH-at RushCon 4. This annual convention, held in downtown Toronto during the summer, gives RUSH fans a chance to meet, celebrate their favorite band, and raise money for a local charity.

(PRWEB) January 9, 2004 --Each year, fans from across the globe congregate for a weekend devoted to the music of RUSH. Convention attendees enjoy an evening mixer, RUSH trivia and song-identification games, guest speakers, memorabilia vendors, tours of Toronto RUSH sites," and tribute band concerts.

For the fourth year in a row, RushCon will feature a charity auction of rare and autographed RUSH memorabilia. All auction proceeds are donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank of Toronto, www.dailybread.ca. To date, RushCon has raised close to $20,000 CND for this non-denominational Ontario charity.

In 2004, RUSH will be marking their 30th Anniversary with a World Tour. While specific tour dates have yet to be announced, RUSHs official site, www.rush.com, states the band will have stops in North America and Europe (their first European tour since 1992). Fans riding high from RUSHs Vapor Trails tour in North and South America, as well as the recent release of the platinum-selling RUSH in Rio DVD, can make 2004 The Year of RUSH" by rocking at the concerts and RushCon 4.
