Andover, MA, (PRWEB) January 12, 2004 -- Three marketing gurus -- Mac McIntosh, Jim Sterne, and Kristin Zhivago -- are partnering with ExecutiveGPS to produce the first-ever B2B CMO Summit to meet the specific needs of B2B Chief Marketing Officers. CMOs will join these three thought leaders and their peers to review best practices and real-world results. During the B2B CMO Summit, they will develop executable, customized marketing plans.

The B2B CMO Summit, which is being held at the Hilton Boston Logan April 26-28, 2004, will focus on the best practices of successful B2B CMOs in an age dominated by accountability, integrated marketing programs, global competition, and a selling environment where the customers wont budge unless you offer exactly what they want.

Each of the Summit leaders spend a majority of their time in the trenches," solving real-world marketing and sales problems, providing revenue-increasing services for companies around the world, including 3Com, Adobe, AT&T, Cisco, Dow Jones, Eastman Kodak, FMC, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, Quantum, Symantec, Siemens, and Verizon.

Presenting and leading discussions will be:
·   Kristin Zhivago (zhivago.com), a revenue-growth expert, author of the book "Rivers of Revenue: What to do when your river dries up," to be released in 2004, global speaker, president of Zhivago Marketing Partners, Inc., and editor of Marketing Technology and The Revenue Journal. Zhivago brings more than 35 years of sales, marketing, and consulting experience to the CMO Summit.

·   Mac McIntosh (macmcintosh.com), an expert in converting leads to sales, voted by Microsoft as Vendor of the Year," global speaker, president of Mac McIntosh Inc., and editor of the Sales Lead Report. McIntosh brings over 20 years of sales, marketing, and consulting experience to the CMO Summit.

·   Jim Sterne (targeting.com), author of five Internet marketing books, including his most recent, "Web Metrics," global speaker, president of Target Marketing, Inc., and editor of Sterne Measures and Full Sterne Ahead. Sterne brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and consulting experience to the CMO Summit.

This is going to be a practical, personalized executive workshop," says Mike Colby, president of ExecutiveGPS. Each CMO is going to be able to draw on the deep, hands-on expertise of the three Summit leaders, and, just as significantly, on the expertise and experiences of their CMO peers. Our promise is that they will walk away with relevant, breakthrough strategies and techniques that they will be able to put to work the next business day."

To make sure the B2B CMO Summit meets the specific needs of attending CMOs, the producers will be interviewing CMOs worldwide and asking them to reveal their biggest challenges and to state which topics will be most valuable to them. CMOs who wish to be interviewed can contact Mike Colby at mcolby@execgps.com or 401-364-1051.

The B2B CMO Summit will start with a potentially explosive pre-summit, half-day session entitled Analysts on the Grill," where top marketing/industry analysts present their findings and then are subjected to questioning and discussion by attending CMOs.

The next two days will feature in-depth presentations followed by Peer-to-Peer Discussions on:

Marketing in the Age of Accountability
Civil Wars and Rivers of Revenue
Sales Opportunity Development
Web Marketing Management
E-metrics
Making Marketing Work

During the breaks a small number of key product and solution vendors will be invited to show their wares in a separate display room in an informal tabletop environment, where they can answer specific questions posed by CMOs. Obviously this is a great opportunity for marketing solution providers to showcase their offerings to top CMOs," says Mike Colby. But its also a chance for the CMOs to see a variety of competing vendors and their offerings in one place; to compare and ask questions. Its a highly efficient way to get hands-on information that they can use when making buying decisions later on."

For more information, CMOs and potential Summit sponsors are invited to contact Mike Colby at mcolby@execgps.com or 401-364-1051, or visit the Summit website at http://www.B2BCMOSummit.com
