Solomon Software 5.5 -- a Microsoft Business Solution -- announces its launch in the UK: building projects that are costed and managed in real-time

Solomon 5.5, a dynamic, real-time, project-based accountancy system, is now available exclusively in the UK under licence from Microsoft in the US. Solomon Softwares unique strength is its ability, especially for those who are in constant project mode, to reduce cost and gain crucial competitive advantage in their current market. Aligning cost to resource utilisation at a much faster pace than was previously experienced is at the heart of the Solomon solution.

London, UK (PRWEB) January 11, 2004 --Solomon 5.5, a dynamic, real-time, project-based accountancy system, is now available exclusively in the UK under licence from Microsoft in the US. Solomon Softwares unique strength is its ability, especially for those who are in constant project mode, to reduce cost and gain crucial competitive advantage in their current market. Aligning cost to resource utilisation at a much faster pace than was previously experienced is at the heart of the Solomon solution.

What is the Solomon Solution? Microsoft Solomon is a functionally rich environment utilising the classic Microsoft SQL Database Server. The development language is Visual Basic and the key to its best of breed" tag lies in its extraordinarily powerful flexible billing and project capabilities. Microsoft Solomon has been gaining universal acceptance from end users, management, project owners and accountancy personnel alike. With specialist modules in-built into the Solomon solution, users, including those web-based, can create and draw off comprehensive and wide ranging financial and business reports, against any project.
Companies around the world are realising that their businesses can no longer work effectively without providing real-time control at all levels. Project control staff still submitting manual reports and status overviews are prone to error and miscalculation. Good project management allows forward thinking companies to exceed their objectives, eliminate mistakes and better serve their customers.

The Solomon Software team is aware, that in one respect, it is not seen as a Microsoft Solution in the UK. Whereas the local Microsoft Country Office in the UK is geared to the marketing of other financial packages such as Navision, Great Plains and Axapta, Solomon Software (UK) Ltd is directly responsible for the marketing, promotion and distribution of the Microsoft Solomon Solution. The company will be actively seeking to increase UK exposure for Solomon, drawing upon the wide ranging experience that Brian Myrie, Solomons new CEO, brings with him from his former experience with SAP.

Solomon Software is currently going through an extensive recruitment drive to broaden its Reseller Partner channel in the UK and Ireland. Combined with extensive training and support, it is providing those Resellers who are involved in the Project sector with a powerful home and opportunity for their talents.

Solomon Software will be offering accreditation and certification through Microsoft for the Solomon Solution. The company will also encourage Resellers to join organisations such as PMI and the Association of Project Managers, so that Resellers can get closer to the market and assist to educate the channel with regards to the value of activity based costing and real-time visibility of projects and their progress at all levels.

Solomon Software views the growing focus on end-to-end automation within the Project market as providing a virtually 'new' market, relatively untapped, for which the functionality of the Solomon 5.5 modules is a perfect fit. The functionality has been developed over a number of years and is mature, state of the art, while being subject to extensive ongoing R & D in the States by Microsoft. Solomon Software feel that they have the solution and expertise to make significant impacts in this space. Within two years the target is to be the number one solution project accountancy provider in the UK.

Solomon Software will be running a series of free Project Management Accounting (PMA) and Professional Services Automation (PSA) Seminars based at Microsoft Offices in the UK throughout 2004. It is hoped that delegates who really want to control project costs and resources within their organisations, will attend and see how they can take the stress and organisational pain out of their projects.
Solomon Software (UK) Ltd was established in 1996 to provide Billing, Project and Consultancy solutions. Solomon Software (UK) Ltd is part owned by the Microsoft Corporation.
