Clickstream Deploys Digital Channel Data Collection Software for SAP
Clickstream Technologies plc, a UK-based company providing patented data collection technology for web sites and other digital channels, today announced a global licencing agreement with SAP AG, the worlds leading provider of business software solutions. SAP has deployed Clickstreams software on its global public Web site, www.sap.com, and on over 40 of its individual country web sites. Clickstreams unique software overcomes the widely documented and serious data inaccuracy and privacy issues associated with the two alternative approaches to collecting data from web sites: server logs and tagging specific web pages.
Clickstream is collecting complete and accurate data from the web sites and automatically delivering it to SAP for analysis and reporting. Clicksteam data can also be integrated with mySAP Business Intelligence (mySAP BI) to give a full and uninterrupted view of all customer interactions across all contact points.
Cambridge, UK (PRWEB) January 11, 2004 ---Refining business process -- not Web reporting.
An organisations online presence is now widely recognised as a critical customer channel. Companies have made substantial investments in building their online presence and integrating it with their other more traditional channels. They are now focused on managing the performance and effectiveness of their online business processes to ensure that all opportunities for cost reduction and revenue generation are captured, passed to the right contact point within the organisation, and acted upon. Accurate data is a fundamental pre-requisite to taking the right action with the right person at the right time.
Clickstream is unique data collection technology that accurately records all visitor interaction with our online presence, irrespective of whether interaction takes place via cached or non-cached content, or even when the visitor is accessing previously downloaded content whilst offline," states Anthony Zaccaro, vice president of Global Web Services, SAP Global Marketing. "SAP is committed to responding quickly and efficiently to our customers. Clickstreams data continues to reveal startling insights, and it helps give us the ability to manage our online presence with confidence and to best effect."
SAP examined the market exhaustively to find the right solution for their business, and selected Clickstream. The information that SAP gets from Clickstream provides a strong understanding of customer behavior on the site, and where current business processes are succeeding or failing to capture attention in areas such as affiliate marketing, advertising, Search Marketing and Web content.
Mike Wheatley, CEO, Clickstream commented: Signing a licensing agreement and deploying software with SAP is great news any day of the week, but when youre still a young company and youve had to beat off well-established competition, its cause for double celebration. We developed Clickstream to provide business people with the accurate web data that they need for business decision-making. If you ask most people in business whether they want right data or wrong data on which to base their decisions, the answer is rarely 'wrong data please. But too many people are still making far-reaching decisions based on completely misleading information collected from the web. Clickstream solves that problem for them, as it has for SAP. Only Clickstream delivers accurate web data."
