Bailiwick's Naked Boys Continue Singing For The Third Year At Chicago's Bailiwick Arts Center.

The Chicago cast of Bob Schrock's musical comedy Naked Boys Singing! continues into the third year of its record-setting run.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 11, 2004 --The naked cast of Bailiwicks long running hit NAKED BOYS SINGING! moves into its third year of performances, making it one of Chicago's most durable off-Loop hits.

Ranging from the serious to the hilarious, Naked Boys Singing! is perfect for audiences of all kinds, from bachelorette parties, birthday and diverce groups, and gay travlers from throughout the country! With musical numbers such as 'Gratuitous Nudity', 'Nothing but the Radio On', and 'Muscle Addiction', Naked Boys Singing! is a great evening out.

Directed by Artistic Director David Zak, with musical direction by Robert Ollis and acclaimed choreography by Andrew Delo, NBS is a musical revue celebrating the nude male form in all of its dramatic and comedic potential.

The current cast of NAKED BOYS SINGING! includes three actors who have been in the show since it opened - Tim Gallagher, Scott Thomas, and Antonio Zayas. Other current cast members include John Cardone (one year), Brian Givens (six months), Nolan Christopher (one month), David Zizic, and Adam McNulty. Current understudies include Nolan Dresden and Marcos Ochoa. Over the years the show has played, 28 actors have danced and sung in the buff.

When NBS opened at Bailiwick on August 26, 2001, the world was a different place. In the subsequent seasons, NBS! has lasted longer than The Full Monty, 10 Naked Men, and Puppetry of the Penis, with much of the credit being the excellent musical numbers - both comedic and dramatic - that creator Robert Schrock selected when putting this musical revue together.

Nineteen authors are credited in program for NBS, including Bruce Vilanch, Mark Savage, and Stephen Bates, currently conducting the orchestra nightly at THE LION KING in Chicago.

The Naked Boys have sung at "Breakfast With the Goo Goo Dolls" for WTMX The Mix at the W Hotel, sung the national anthem at the Gay Rodeo, made appearances at bridal expositions around Chicago, sung on the WGN morning news, and performed in benefits and fund raisers for many gay non-profits. Bachelorettes have made NAKED BOYS SINGING! a popular destination over the last 24 months. NBS! has been a favorite of The Red Hat Society, as well as groups celebrating birthday, anniversary, and divorce parties.

Robert Ollis remains the musical director and accompanist, with backup support from Alan Bukowiecki and Ron Guthrie.

NAKED BOYS SINGING! runs Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 8, and Saturdays at 9, now extended through 6/27/04. Tickets are $32 on Thursday and Sunday, and $37 on Friday and Saturday. Group discounts for 10 or more are available through ShowTix at 312-943-5056. For tickets and reservations to NAKED BOYS SINGING!

A celebration of the male form, NBS was conceived by Robert Schrock, and features material from numerous talents, including songs by Stephen Bates, Marie Cain, Perry Hart, Shelly Markham, Jim Morgan, David Pevsner, Rayme Sciaroni, Mark Savage, Ben Schaechter, Robert Schrock, Trance Thompson, Bruce Vilanch, and Mark Winkler.

Songs in Naked Boys Singing! range from the serious to the hilarious, and include love songs, dramatic solos, and haunting duets. Caution - and costumes! - are thrown to the wind as this terrific cast celebrates the thrill of 'Gratuitous Nudity' in song and dance. Song titles include The Naked Maid, Fight The Urge, Perky Little Porn Star (from Skokie Illinois), Nothin' But the Radio On, and Muscle Addiction. From the opening number Gratuitous Nudity to the exciting dance number The Entertainer, Naked Boys Singing! has proven to be non-stop fun around the country and the world.
