Americas PCS announces the launch of new advertising plan.
Starr Wireless, LLC the provider of Americas PCS announces the launch of its new advertising plan as proposed in November 2003.
(PRWEB) January 13, 2004 --Americas PCS today announced that the companys advertising plan that was proposed in November will partially go into effect today. The partial launch of the companys advertising model includes internet advertising with several of its previous business partners including Yahoo!. The plan also includes a national television roll out of 30 second spot commercials, although the companys advertising plan will launch today it will only launch partially excluding the national television commercials. Chad L Hawkins (Chairman / CEO) had this to say about the partial launch of the new plan: Because Americas PCS is a new service we feel very strongly in receiving approval from the people that matter most, our customers. With a partial launch we can get a feel of how our customers will react to the service and we will make changes to phone prices and other aspects of Americas PCS accordingly."
In the past week the company has lowered the price of every phone on their website (http://www.americaspcs.com) to include instant rebates with savings up to $150 for new customers. On Wednesday Mark Rennington (VP / Advertising Director) stated: At Americas PCS we will stay focused on acquiring new customers and still making up front profit in a very competitive prepaid market, in order for Americas PCS to achieve this goal I think it is very important for us to offer all customers the opportunity to become a subscriber of Americas PCS even when they dont have hundreds of dollars to spend on a new phone". The companys most recent projections are good even for the partial launch of the program, according to several key figures at the Starr Wireless corporate headquarters the internet advertising portion of the plan was the part that was created to add to its customer base, and the national television campaign was only an additional method of branding to get the companys name in front of the public.
On February 1st the company will release a new pro forma worksheet that will display the overall success of the partial launch, this will also be the time that the board will meet again to determine if the launch was successful and if the remaining aspects of the advertising plan should be put into effect.
