Writers Site Selects Feminist Poem for Publication
"Long Short Story" has selected Carolyn Howard-Johnson's poem "Bon Sai" for their January edition.
(PRWEB) January 13, 2004 --"Long Short Story" has selected Carolyn Howard-Johnson's poem "Bon Sai" for their January edition.
Inspired by a visit to a Bon Sai garden, Howard-Johnson was able to make the connection between the beauty of these miniature trees - how they are cropped and tended - to the plight of women everywhere.
Edited by Denise Cassino, "Long Short Stories" features fine writing from poetry to essays and, unlike many others, also offers critiques from their submission committee. Their goal is to show case work and help authors see their work published.
Carolyn Howard-Johnson is an award-winning novelist. Her first novel, "This is the Place", has won eight awards. Her book of creative nonfiction has won three. She is a columnist for the "Pasadena Star News" and "Home Decor Buyer" as well as several online sites like Bookreviewcafe.com, Sellwritingonline.com", and "Myshelf.com".
