Author Eddie Beverage is publishing a remixed version of his debut novel "200 Beats per Minute" at http://www.eddiebeverage.com.
(PRWEB) January 13, 2004 --Originally published independently in 1998, the coming-of-age novel 200 Beats per Minute" by Eddie Beverage takes place in the rave culture underground of Orlando, Florida circa 1995, where just a half-hour drive from Disney World, the happiest place on Earth," the downtown club scene was the main attraction, fueled by breakbeats and ecstasy. Nearly a decade later, Beverage says his debut evokes a certain nostalgia for those who were there" and goes on to say, ...there are things that never change, generation to generation. Drug addiction, alienation, the uncertainty of the future; these things resonate now just like they did then."
In the spirit of the culture that 200 BPM" celebrates and decries at the same time, Beverage has launched http://www.eddiebeverage.com, where he intends to remix his novel and publish it for a new generation in its entirety. When asked about the concept, Beverage replies, Artists and producers are remixing records. Sprites remixing soda. Why not remix a novel?"
In addition to 200 Beats per Minute The Remix," Beverage is making available a number of short stories, poetry, novel excerpts and personal DJ mixes as well as a copy of an un-produced screenplay adaptation of 200 BPM." His new novel, Tom Brown Saves the World," arrives Fall 2004.
