Evangelical Leaders Call on President Bush to Do More to Fight Global AIDS Epidemic
On eve of State of the Union Address, Best-Selling Author Dr. Bruce Wilkinson (Prayer of Jabez) asks evangelicals, Washington, for more funds
Four major U.S. Evangelical leaders, including New York Times #1 best-selling author Bruce Wilkinson, World Visions director of public policy and advocacy Serge Duss, Compassion Internationals chief operating officer David Dahlin, representatives of World Vision and Compassion International, and the National Evangelical Associations Richard Cizek, will gather Tuesday, January 13th, at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, to call on President Bush to increase funding for Global AIDS in the 2005 budget.

As we approach the one-year anniversary of President Bushs $15 billion AIDS promise, we must keep in our hearts and minds the millions of people worldwide who are infected with HIV/AIDS," said Dr. Bruce Wilkinson, best-selling author of The Prayer of Jabez and numerous other books. We need to do everything possible to help alleviate the suffering of the worlds poor." For the past year and half, Wilkinson, through his organization Dream for Africa", has been working with the leaders of several sub-Saharan African nations, and at their request, has instigated a series of ongoing programs to alleviate hunger and educate the population on AIDS prevention.
