CaRP Evolution 3.5 (RSS parser) enables complex filtering, mySQL storage
CaRP Evolution 3.5, released today, adds features enabling websites to perform complex filtering of RSS newsfeeds, and to store RSS newsfeeds in a mySQL database.
OREM, Utah (PRWEB) January 14, 2004 --Mouken, L.C. announces another upgrade to their popular RSS parser, CaRP. The most exciting changes are two new plugins for the top-of-the-line Evolution version of the program: one for performing complex filtering of newsfeed items, and another for storing parsed RSS feeds in a mySQL database, for use with other programs.
Other changes, shared with the free and midrange "Koi" versions include expanded date-parsing capabilities, a setup assistant script, and a few minor enhancements to existing features. With version 3.5, CaRP extends its lead as most powerful yet easy to use tool for displaying RSS newsfeeds on websites.
CaRP has recently garnered the honor of being the only PHP-based tool named on the websites of The Christian Science Monitor [http://www.csmonitor.com/rss/] and World Press Review [http://www.worldpress.org/feeds/] for displaying their RSS feeds on other websites.
Pricing and Availability:
CaRP is available in three versions: a free (GPL) version which supports all of the basic features, a full-featured version for $9.95, and CaRP Evolution, priced at $18.95. All versions are available via the Mouken, L.C. website at http://www.mouken.com/rss/carp/.
