ecarte signs agreement o provide online food ordering for Cambridge based Delivery Kings

Delivery Kings has chosen eCarte to provide a new branded on-line menu and ordering facility . Diners can order meals for home or business delivery from the menus of Delivery Kings partner restaurants via the sophisticated eCarte system. eCarte has implemented a system that allows orders to be placed from multiple restaurants and formatted into a single delivery request.

A diner simply goes online, selects a favourite Restaurant, views its menu, adds food items to the order, enters in delivery details, requests a delivery time and sends the order electronically to Delivery Kings for fulfillment. The diner can see a full analysis of their selections and the cost of their order as they proceed and receive an email copy as a confirmation of their order requirements.

Diners may order food for delivery from 2 restaurants on any one order as well as products from Delivery Kings Corner Shop" and a listed Off License.

The eCarte system operates in real time and automatically manages the different opening hours of individual partner restaurants while simultaneously checking delivery lead times. The ordering system is open to orders from 6pm in the evening, 7 days a week.

The system is a multifunctional menu management and order processing system with full user controlled content management capability. It is a readily scalable system and provides functionality to support independent restaurants or franchise chains providing home delivery or takeaway web based food pre-ordering services. Its sophisticated menu system allows a range of menu behaviours including meal building and up-selling and includes facilities for applying discounts and surcharges.

The system has been developed as a co-operative venture between two innovative Cambridgeshire Businesses. Proxico UK Limited led in the development of the web technology to implement the system while eCarte Internet Services has focused on commercial exploitation and business and systems operations.
