Rabbi David Saperstein Speaks at Consultation on Conscience

Rabbi David Saperstein who heads the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, DC will lead a panel of distinguished speakers on topics suh as Anti-Semitism, Israel, justice, and domestic security.

Boca Raton, FL Congregation Bnai Israel will sponsor its first Consultation on Conscience on Sunday January 25th. The Consultation will cover such topics of concern as Threats of Anti-Semitism, the Survival of Jewish Values in Israel and the United States, Jews, Judaism and Social Justice, Spirtiual Values and Politics in America and Israel in Search of peace.

The Consultation is being held at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, in the Live Oaks Pavilion at the Student Center. The event is being hosted by the Kantor Family Center for Justice in honor of the 20th Anniversary of Congregation Bnai Israel.

The featured speaker at the Consultation will be Rabbi David Saperstein who leads the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, DC. Other featured speakers include Rabbi Richard Agler of Congregation Bnai Israel, Rabbi Robert Silvers of Congregation Bnai Israel, Miki Arbel, Israel Consul General to Florida and Puerto Rico, Mark Medlin of the Anti Defamation League (ADL), Dr. Baruch Knei-paz of the Hebrew Universwity, Reverend Henry Willis of the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church (Boca Raton) and Stephen F. Beiner, Esq. speaking as a representative the American Jewish Committee (AJC).

Scheduled speakers will present their topics individually and as part of group panel discussions. A Question and answer period will be provided at the end of each speakers presentation.

The consultation will run from 10 AM until 3 PM, and a box lunch will be provided to all attendees. Advance reservations and payment are required, the registration fee is $20.00 and payment can be sent to Congregation Bnai Israel, 2200 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, Florida 33413. You may also register at the door to attend.
