President Bush Calls for Moon Base -- Liz Moore is Already There!
President Bush is calling for the United States to build a lunar base by 2020. Author Liz Moore has beaten him to the punch in her novel, "Noble Savage", by having an established moon colony in the present.
(PRWEB) January 17, 2004 --President Bush has given a speech calling for the setup of a base on the moon to allow man to reach Mars and beyond. Bush wants NASA to place a new emphasis on creating a transport to shuttle humans back and forth between the moon and Earth so that a lunar base might be set up and manned by 2020; and so that man may reach Mars by 2030.
In the tradition of science fiction writers past, author Liz Moore has slipped the bonds of Earth and is already established on the moon. In Moore's novel, "Noble Savage", present-day humans shuttle between Earth, a space station and a lunar prison facility on a regular basis. The trip has become commonplace for the characters of Moore's world, and is no more exciting to many of them than a trip to the grocery store. They also have much greater worries than space travel, as they've been taken over by a false prophet who recreated society in his own image.
Are the President and author Moore correct in thinking that colonization of the moon is the next step for man? While we won't know for quite some time about the President's goals, you can get an idea of what might be coming by reading Moore's novel "Noble Savage" now. "Noble Savage" is available through the Llumina Press website or other online sources such as Amazon.com (where it has received five stars) and the Barnes & Noble site. "Noble Savage" is 224 pages and retails for $16.95.
