Audrey Hepburn Eyes: Runway Makeup Artist, Deborah Altizio, Gives You Tips On Going Glam 1950s Style with Ardell Faux Lashes

From crisp button-down shirts to classic circle skirts, 1950s timeless chic" is making its way down this years runways. Ardell, manufacturer of the #1 selling faux eyelashes, has paired with Deborah Altizio, runway makeup artist for such designers as Vera Wang, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren, to show you how to look like a 1950s starlet from the neck up.

(PRWEB) January 17, 2004 --When it comes to 1950s glam, its all about the eyes," explains Deborah. Think pale foundation, pale lips (like peaches and soft melons) and striking eyes-lots of thick black lashes on top with black liquid liner." To achieve this look using Ardell Lashes, she recommends the following:

1)   Apply bone or white shadow all over the eye. Then, apply taupe shadow to lids.

2)   Brows should be shaped (or penciled in) slightly heavier with squared tips.

3)   Next, apply a medium to thick line of black liquid liner, slightly flipping it at the outer edge of the eye. (Tip: For a modern, evening look, try shimmery black liquid liner.)

4)   Finish by applying Ardell Fashion Lashes 101 Demi Black strip lashes. (Tip: Apply the strip slightly below the lid, onto your lashes. This will give your lashes a seamless, natural finish.)

5)   Or, for a dreamier look, apply 2-3 Ardell Duralash individual lash clusters (in Flare Long Black) along the outer end of each eye. (Tip: Nestle them between your own lashes. Then, blend them in with 1-2 coats of black mascara.)

Ardell lash products are available at drug and beauty supply stores nationwide including CVS, Duane Reade, Eckerd, Genovese, Longs, Osco, Sallys Beauty Supply, Rite Aid, SavOn and Walgreens, among others.
