State of Whatever Releases Debut CD -- LIFELESS

State of Whatever, a three piece band from Dallas, Texas, whose unique sound shows influences from Guns and Roses, to Staind and Godsmack, has just released their debut cd, LIFELESS.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 17, 2004 -- How would you describe State of Whatever's Debut release LIFELESS? Soulful, deep and slightly on the darker side. From the down trodden to the last thread, LIFELESS is an emotional ride that breaks into the spirit of ones self and stirs up anger, sadness and a longing for hope. Unlike many albums that are full of noise and leave you banging your head against a wall, LIFELESS digs into the bowels of music producing rythmatic melodies and crushing guitar riffs.

The brothers Jonathan and James Pugh with Drummer George Bridges, manage to conform altering styles into a sound that grabs from the past, combines with the now, and produces something new. From Hopeless to The Game, you'll find head and body moving to the music with your mind reconstructing the life laid out in the lyrics.

State of Whatever was formed 2 years ago. The Brothers have played together since their teenage years including an earlier CD shot back in 1997 with the band CRIMP. After having local success, CRIMP was primed to venture out. Favorites in high-schools across North Texas, CRIMP played before Protestant - Catholic teenagers who were Emassaries from Ireland to the always hot Bring In The The Weekend Party for Q102 (a local rock music station in Dallas Texas). The band was going strong until the Drummer found a new life and left the group. James and Jonathan went on a 4 year hiatus from the original music scene. Both still wrote and played in other groups before deciding to share their music with the rest of the world again. Enter George Bridges. George grew up playing Jazz and Blues for years with many different bands but always had a love and longing to play rock. After the three got together for one jam session, they realized this could be the start of something special. If you have ever heard any of these three seperately you would never guess it was them on the LIFELESS CD. But together, LIFELESS is a well produced, well written, sad story from the lives of these three. It's about time that good rock music returned to mainstream.
