Proteligent Releases Beta Version of System Monitoring Software for General Evaluation

The Beta release of BirdsEye can be installed on a simple Windows XP or 2000 computer. It acts as a server that monitors client systems running on different platforms (Windows, Red Hat Linux, and Sun Solaris) as well as other network devices. BirdsEye has quick install and discovery features, and can be up and running in less than 15 minutes.

BirdsEye was developed from the ground up to support the IT infrastructure needs of small and medium sized businesses (SMB) and address a growing concern over the high cost of system downtime. Within minutes of installation, BirdsEye provides system administrators with valuable information about servers, workstations and network devices and their resources - even at remote locations. BirdsEye's unique layered web interface allows quick access to the current status of resources as well as historic information. BirdsEye monitors the seven vital signs of a system, which include internal and remote network applications, system logs, network connectivity, as well as hard disk, memory and CPU usage. Color-coded "traffic-light" alerts indicate problems at a glance, allowing system administrators to intervene early and prevent system downtime. A proactive alert system sends email alerts or SMS text messages to cell phones of key personnel. When released the software will be available starting at US $595.
