Applications available for Common Ground Sanctuary 2004 Art in the Park

Common Ground Sanctuary Art in the Park has issued a "call for entries" for all interested artists. Now in its 30th year, this juried fine arts show draws more than 75,000 patrons and more than 190 artisans from across the country.

(PRWEB) January 18, 2004 --Celebrating its 30-year anniversary in 2004, the Common Ground Sanctuary Art in the Park is slated for 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12 at Shain Park in downtown Birmingham, Mich. Admission is free.

Applications are now available for interested artists. Deadline for submissions is March 5, 2004. There is a $25 nonrefundable jury fee and all applications must include five 35mm slides indicative of the artists' work.

Featuring ceramics, jewelry, paintings, sculpture, photography, glass and more, the juried fair will include 190 fine artists from across the country, a silent auction, food, entertainment and a variety of childrens activities.

Art in the Park is the primary fund-raiser for Common Ground Sanctuary, an Oakland County-based nonprofit crisis services agency. Proceeds fund CGS 24-hour crisis line (800-231-1127), shelters for youths in crisis, family counseling and outreach to at-risk teens.
