(PRWEB) January 19, 2004 --Immunotec Research Limited, of Vaudreuil, was co-founded in 1996 by Charles H. Roberts, President and Chief Executive Officer. Immunotec Research is an advanced biotech research organization specializing in the development of new health technologies as a complement to traditional medicine. Combining the best of traditional business with the power of network marketing, Immunotec is the new breed in the industry. It's sales shot from $5,169,636 to 33,087,750 between 1997 and 2002 and its 5-year growth rate rate increased by 640%.

Immunotec's principle benefactor, Canadian entrepreneur Dieter Beer, was introduced to Dr. Bounous and his team in 1987. At the time, Mr. Beer was searching for a treatment for his mother who was dying of cancer. After receiving treatment with a fore-runner of Immunocal® (which was then only in the developmental stage), Mr. Beer's mother went into remission. It was then that Dieter Beer took it upon himself to ensure that everyone might eventually have access to the benefits of Immunocal®.

Most of Immunotec's financing-in the millions of dollars-has come from Mr. Beer's personal fortune. Money has been spent on research and production expenses, on studies conducted in Canada, Germany, and Japan, and on obtaining patent and trademark protection around the world. Immunocal® was originally slated for worldwide distribution as a pharmaceutical. The view was to distribute Immunocal® through traditional channels, or to establish some form of joint venture or strategic alliance with pharmaceutical manufacturers.

With options and sub-license agreements in place in Europe, Asia, and Africa, Immunotec reconsidered joint or independent pharmaceutical distribution in North America. The feeling among the research team was, that given the tremendous potential of Immunocal® to help so many people, it should be made available to the general public as soon as possible, with as few restrictions as possible. Since Immunocal® is a completely natural product, Immunotec had the option to register and market Immunocal® as a dietary food supplement; and because doing so would minimize its price and maximize its availability, that was what Immunotec elected to do.

Dieter Beer joined forces with Charles "Chuck" Roberts, a Canadian businessman with extensive and proven management and network marketing experience; and they, along with John Molson of Molson Breweries, formed Immunotec Research, Ltd. Immunotec combines the credentials and technical support of a conventional pharmaceutical company with the advantages and opportunities of a network marketing company, to offer healthcare providers and business people a superb and important product to dispense to their patients or clients.
