Consultant to speak on Communications Lessons from Titanic" during AITP business meeting cruise

Consultant and speaker Calvin Sun will be presenting a talk on Communications Lessons from Titanic" during a meeting of the Association of Information Technology Professionals. The meeting will be held during a Miami-to-Bahamas cruise of the Carnival ship Fascination.

Paoli, PA (PRWEB) January 19, 2004 --Consultant and speaker Calvin Sun will be presenting a talk on Communications Lessons from Titanic" during a cruise of the Carnival ship Fascination. The cruise departs Miami on April 30, 2004 for the Bahamas, returning on Monday, May 3. Suns talk will be part of the Region 18 conference of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP).

During the talk, Sun will discuss specific incidents from the disaster (including the actions of wireless operator Jack Phillips and nurse Alice Cleaver), analyze the communications mistakes that occurred and apply lessons from them to a business and information technology (IT) context.

Im delighted to be part of the cruise meeting, and thank AITP for thinking about me," said Sun. Communications skills can be a challenge to business professionals, particularly in the IT field. In my own career as an IT professional, I have made mistakes when working with customers. But I have learned from those mistakes, and now do consulting, training and speaking to try to keep others from making them."
Were looking forward to Calvins talk, because we had heard about him from other chapters," added AITP meeting coordinator Carolyn Walters. I personally appreciate the references to Titanic he gave me recently, in regard to passengers I was curious about."
