(PRWEB) January 20, 2004 --How many of you have spent hours, days, weeks, months and even years trying to make a few dollars on the internet? Jumping from one opportunity or program to the next following all the rules like you were told or instructed to do with all the pie in the sky promises of over night riches and instant wealth. I really love the ones that tell you that you dont have to buy or sell a thing, but youre going to make a fortune for just signing up. Im still trying to figure that one out.
Did you know statistically that only 2% of those on the internet trying to make money are successful? If this is true, what about the other 98%. Im sure youve heard the BIG buzz word, DUPLICATE". From what I have seen, the only thing being duplicated is failure. Look around and see for yourself. So the question is, are you a part of that 2% or unfortunately like most of us the 98%?
If you are in that 2% bracket, congratulations. Your success is to be commended, but most likely you too are running in the internet rat race struggling to keep afloat putting in more time and money than you are getting in return. At this point you may be ready to just give it up and quite. I know the feeling. Been there before, but I was determined to figure this out and make something work. Little did I even dream that I would even be writing an article such as this to maybe help others that are traveling down the same road I had been. Maybe I can show you a couple of short cuts and help smooth out the road a little along the way.
It was about 10 years ago that I began my journey into this technical world we call the internet. After hearing all the incredible stories about people getting on the internet and turning into millionaires over night I just had to find out what was going on and how I could do the same thing. Its true that there has been more millionaires created since the internet than any other time in history, but where were all these millionaires and why wasnt I getting there fast like I heard everyone else was? As the saying goes, the grass is always greener on the other side until you get to the other side." Ok, so my first computer back in 93 which was given to me which I now understand why I was given such an incredible gift and opportunity to get started in this industry. A 286 that would have made a great boat anchor after I realized what I had at the time. Technically I am still like a 90 year old trying to program a VCR, but I have learned a few things about computers since. It took me about a month to realize that this 286 just wasnt going to make it, especially if I was serious about accessing the internet and starting my own business. I immediately got a friend of mine who knew computers to build me a 486 which was my big start in the world of the internet and e-commerce. It has definitely been an education and one hell of a ride so far and Im still learning.
One thing I have learned not only in this industry, but which applies to anything we do. It is not what you do that will prove your success, but its how you do it. Yes, it is important that we find the right business with the right products or services and have some understanding about marketing and this industry, but the bottom line goes right back to how we do what we do. Wealthy people do not get wealthy by what they do. They get wealthy by how they do it. Two businesses dealing with the same products or services in the same area. One is prospering while the other is failing. Ive seen this many times over and over again. Why is that? Several people promoting and building their business via internet all dealing with the same products or services and even the same company. Some are very successful while most are not. Remember the 2% verses the 98%? What is going on here? How many of you have worked very hard over time doing everything you were instructed to do or thought was the correct thing to do and still getting nowhere fast? I was doing this for the first several years in this industry trying desperately to figure out why I just wasnt making anything work no matter how hard I did work or what I did. Why? What was going on here anyway? I was following all the rules and doing all the things that the so called experts, internet gurus, and professionals were telling us to do. Duplicate, duplicate, duplicate!!!! These people were making fortunes while I was doing all the work. That is what they were claiming anyway. I couldnt count how many so called down lines I have built with hundreds and even thousands of people only to generate a few dollars now and then which by that time if everybody didnt quit the company did or turned out to be a fraud or went belly up because of some bad business decisions. This just wasnt the world I envisioned from all that I heard when I first got started. I figured that I was going to get me a business, set up a website, do a little promoting and bingo, make a ton of money over night. Boy did I get a reality check. Yea, there have been a few who have done just that, but there are those few who win the lottery too. So unless you win the lottery, get ready for a reality check as well. Now Im not here to tell you that I have made my millions and have now become a successful internet entrepreneur but I can tell you that I am well on my way and just sharing my experiences that may be of some help for those of you who may just be getting started or ready to quit.
The first thing that you need to understand is your success depends on your mind set. I dont care what it is you do, the business youre in or products you may have. If you do not have the proper mind set for success you have lost before you even get started. Remember what I said about how you do it and not what you do? I am going to give you a couple of steps you can take to get started that I sure wish I would have known when I first started and trust me, I honestly fell that this will make all the difference in the world toward your success. As a matter of fact I know it will.

Wattles copy write 1903 This has been one of the most incredible books I have ever read concerning the laws that govern our lives and finances. I have read all the books, listened to all the tapes and checked out all the internet gurus and professionals, but I have never learned the lessons I have until I came across what I am about to turn you onto here.
