Pixarra releases version 3.0 of the easy to use artist painting software with the addition of art sets, masks, paper textures and scripting. Pixarra Sketchbook since it's inception has included traditional artist tools, such as oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, airbrushes, pencils, charcoal, pens, chalk, markers and oil pastels. Under the covers is a high performance 64 bit brush engine that achieves smooth blends and responsive brush strokes. With this release Pixarra Sketchbook further enhances the ease of use promise with the inclusion of art sets such as graphite and color pencils. These bundle together the tools in the form of presets that an artist would normally use together. Traditional style masks are now supported that mimic brush on masks but of course also allow for semi-transparency. A series of paper textures further enhances the feel of working with real art media. With the new scripting supporting, an entire art session can be recorded and later played back.
