NEW YORK - Designer in Residence for the New York City Ballet and the Sadlers Wells Ballet of London, Julius Lumsden premiers his collection of sketches, designs, oils on paper and canvas for the first time ever at Puccio Gallery in Manhattan on February 20, 2004 at a champagne reception from 6-9pm. New York (PRWEB) January 21, 2004 --Costume design is just a small part of where Lumsdens talents land. The Oxford graduate has designed everything from shoes with Manolo Blahnik and backdrop scenery for the New York City Ballet to now developing a new line of denim for QVC. At Puccio Gallery, Lumsden will display for sale original sketches of costumes from the New York City Ballet, original works on paper and oil paintings in small dimensions as well as large works on canvas in brilliant colors. Original costume and shoe designs will be on loan from the New York City Ballet for the opening night reception.
Lumsdens work can be found in the private collections of John Russell Taylor, Art Critic for the London Times, Charlotte, Princess of Luxembourg and Aston Hawkins, former Vice-Council of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lumsdens work will be on display at Puccio Gallery from February 19th to 26th.
