Amazing New Dog Breed On A Mission

Set to air on National Geographic Channel on Sunday, January 18th, is "Designer Dogs"; a documentary looking at the "New Age" in dog breeds and this new rare dog breed which has captured the imagination of dog lovers world wide.

VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA (PRWEB) January 21, 2004 --Set to air on National Geographic Channel on Sunday, January 18th, is "Designer Dogs"; a documentary looking at the "New Age" in dog breeds and this new rare dog breed which has captured the imagination of dog lovers world wide.

The LABRADOODLE is causing quite a stir. Non shedding, allergy friendly and a host of other fascinating claims are being made about this new breed first created by the Guide Dogs in Melbourne Australia. National Geographic follows its development at the Rutland Manor Labradoodle Breeding and Research Center in Australia and interviews owners in the United States.

Interest in the LABRADOODLE has exploded over the past ten years as no other dog breed has done in the history of man's best friend. Major Retail Chain Lord and Taylor used two Australian Bred Labradoodles to model the stuffed Labradoodle Dog toy by Gunds, which sold out at 60,000 units with a major share of the profits donated to the Guide Dogs.

This non shedding, comical, clown of a dog leads the blind, alerts to imminent seizures, provides therapy to hospice and other patients and is reported to be safe around people who suffer from dog related allergies. The documentary is a must see to all those who seek to be well informed on this new breed since over popularity soon leads to over breeding and unscrupulous breeders cashing in on an instant market.

Although barely thirty years in the making, the LABRADOODLE already boasts two independent registry bodies in North America and Australia. The International Labradoodle Association (ILA), with board members representing Hawaii, Holland, England America and Australia, provides a central registry and forum for families with disabled or otherwise challenged children from countries all over the world to share resources and source Labradoodles available as free donations from registered breeders.

The International Labradoodle Association (ILA), incorporated in Hawaii in January 2004, will launch its website by the end of the month. Contact Beverley@rutlandmanor.com for information on how to access the charitable donation of Therapy Labradoodles through the world wide net of the ILA.
