CONCORD, MA (PRWEB) January 20, 2004 -- North Bridge Productions, the creative video production unit of DigiNovations (of Concord, Massachusetts), swept first and third place in the Corporate Video category at the 2004 VISTA Awards ceremony from the National Professional Videographers Association. The company also won top honors in the Miscellaneous Productions category at the annual awards presentation. President and Executive Producer Michael Kolowich accepted the awards on behalf of the company.

The association awarded its Platinum award for excellence in Corporate Video to DigiNovations for its promotional film for the Marcus Lewis Day Camp in Harvard, Massachusetts. Produced by Paul Dewey, videographed by Benjamin Eckstein and edited by George Mandl, the fast-paced, 7-minute video depicts the wide variety of activities available at the summer camp. "This production straddles the line adeptly at appealing to both parents and prospective campers," said Kolowich. "A summer's day at a beautiful camp is appealing in itself, but the real excitement comes from Mandl's clever use of speed changes to drive the pulse of the film."

DigiNovations also won Silver honors for excellence in Corporate Video for a ten-minute film it created in support of a capital fundraising campaign for Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Produced by Paul Dewey, videographed by George Mandl and Michael Kolowich and edited by George Mandl, the film lays out the case for investment in the school's future with exquisite videography. "The key to this film," observed Kolowich, "is that the entire story is told in the words of the participants -- parents, students, and faculty. Narration was entirely unnecessary when the characters in the film could articulate the need so clearly and powerfully."

NPVA awarded its top Platinum VISTA award for excellence in the Miscellaneous Productions category to DigiNovations for a 12-minute training video it made for Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts. Produced and edited by Michael Kolowich and videographed by Benjamin Eckstein and George Mandl, the film employs "reality TV" shooting and editing to capture and recreate a mass decontamination drill held in August, 2003. "The film is meant for a young but critical audience of first responders learning to cope with a biological or chemical disaster," said Kolowich. "In just a few minutes, trainees get a pretty good understanding of what happens in rapidly deploying a decontamination facility in the field. The film is designed to set up and motivate their further more detailed learning sessions."

The three awards for DigiNovations represent a remarkable achievement for a production company in its first year entering the National Professional Videographer Association VISTA award competition. "We're proud to have received the creative recognition of our peers, whose work we so respect," said Kolowich. "We're privileged to have so many clients whose stories and causes make for such compelling video productions."
