Spas & Sweets is a local dot com family owned and operated by Chris & Will Schmied, and their children, Christopher, Austin, Andrea, and Hannah, who help out with everything from inventory to labeling. Chris began as just a small BeautiControl consultant, selling and hosting spa parties, teaching women to relax and take a little me time". Then, while talking to other work at home moms, she decided that selling cocoas, bread and brownie mixes, and gourmet coffees would complement the relaxation products perfectly. So, as a family, they began Spas & Sweets.

Not only do they sell and work out of their house in Newport News, they are also willing to go to the customer, and either perform a spa party, where the host or hostess can invite 8-10 friends for an evening of fun and pampering. They will also take their yummies on the road and sell at local fairs and tradeshows.
