LaCourt to speak at Wisconsin School Counselors Conference
Author offers curriculum for bully prevention program to school counselors.
(PRWEB) January 22, 2004 --Marilyn LaCourt, author of "The Prize: A Novel About Bullies and Victims...and What Drives Them" and her business partner, Life Skills Coach, Patty Barrett will present the "Titt for Tatt" bully prevention curriculum at the Wisconsin School Counselor Association Conference in Stevens Point, WI on February 27, 2004.
LaCourt states, "If students do not feel safe, their ability to concentrate on academics will be impaired."
Her bully prevention program is based on a theory of cooperation postulated by Robert Axelrod in "The Evolution of Cooperation" 1984.
LaCourt's novel grew out of her experience while working with youth at an inner city school during the pilot study for her bully prevention program. She developed the program shortly after the tragedy at Collumbine.
