(PRWEB) February 1, 2004 --The Denver School of Fine Architectural Finishes is the first of its kind in the nation. Offering an accredited curriculum with Internationally known artists, plasterers, decorative painters and faux finishers as our instructors. Our Venetian Plaster classes will be taught by Massimo Locassio from Trieste, Italy; our Marble and Wood Graining classes will be taught by Roxanne Cavin and Mark Jordan in the same manner as taught by Pierre Finklestein in his book The Art of Faux; Plaster and Stucco classes will be taught by Randy Hobbs, Vice President of Gallegos Plaster Company; the fine arts curriculum will be taught by Mark Jordan, who has a BA in Fine Arts and has done numerous murals and paintings in the Denver area, just to name a few. All instructors have worked and taught in their media for many years before coming to us, and some instuctors will take many of our students as apprentices after they have completed the required classes. In the past, we have placed several of our students with companies which are the best in their fields.
All students taking the 2 year full curriculum will be working on actual walls as well as developing samples for their portfolios. The school is a working studio and therefore will, from time to time, have jobs on which the more advanced students will be able to work.
Students will receive extensive instruction in their chosen classes as well as business and simple accounting. They will learn color theory, the history of each medium studied, how to market themselves, and will develop a beautiful portfolio which will enable them to immediately leave our school and have the tools to go out and begin their careers.
AVANTI Design Group will also be holding classes for students interested in Interior Design, this will be a certification class taught by Roxanne Cavin, an award winning custom home builder, interior designer and decorative artist, who divides her time between teaching and working in the field.
For more information, or a complete listing of all classes available, contact Roxanne Cavin at 720-331-0631.
