Included in the new version are a completely redesigned interface, security upgrades for personal information, much new content, new navigation system, the framework for product consignment sales, and more.
The product section will be launched within a few weeks. It will be a place where 3D enthusiasts can sell their 3D Rendering related models/meshes/objects, textures, plug-ins, applications, settings, tutorials, and whatever else they can dream up. Membership to the RenderAid.com site is FREE and listing products to sell on the site is also FREE. When a product sells on the site, RenderAid.com keeps a transaction fee and sends the rest to owner of the product sold.
In addition to the products, the site contains hundreds of user submitted images in the Stills Gallery, a collection of animated short films in the Films Gallery, Themed Rendering Challenges, Information about 3D related topics (tutorials, news items, references, reviews, etc.), message boards for support and community interaction, a review system for the user images in the gallery where other users can rate/review images uploaded and showing there, and more.
