(PRWEB) February 4, 2004 --The Cardiac Outreach Team at Good Samaritan Hospital will host Cardiac Up-Close," a seminar that will walk participants through what they should do, and what the hospital staff would do, in the event of a heart attack. This vital and informative seminar will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2004 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the hospitals auditorium. Reservations are recommended, and refreshments will be served.
Cardiac Up-Close will illustrate what to do -- and how the hospital staff would respond -- in the event participants or a family member should ever experience a heart attack. Inside the Good Samaritan auditorium, participants will be led through a variety of stations -- each one representing one of the hospitals care units -- where they will see first hand how the cardiac team at Good Samaritan treats heart attack patients.
Participants in Cardiac Up-Close will begin with EMS, then the ER, move on to Good Samaritans new Cath Lab, and follow the procedures all the way to recovery. Along the way, participants will get to talk to Good Samaritans health care professionals directly, while learning how the hospital staff is saving hearts through innovative technology and new treatment options. Finally, participants will receive important information on reducing the risks of heart disease and heart attack -- the number one killer in America.
Space is limited in this important and informative seminar. To reserve your spot in Cardiac Up-Close, call the hospitals cardiac outreach team at 1-800-HELP-IN-5 (1-800-435-7465). In case of snow, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, February 22.
