(Athena) introduces the Model RMC/P Single-Zone, Portable Controller to its Series RMC Hot Runner Control System line of micro-processor based, self-tuning temperature controls. This portable hot runner controller brings new and highly productive benefits to plastics injection molders looking for processing temperature control that's flexible, easy to set up, and simple to operate from almost any location.

The go anywhere" portability of the Model RMC/P Single-Zone Portable Controller offers:

*Choice of three default modes for open thermocouple condition

*Built-in triac safety protection

*Accepts J or K thermocouple input (jumper selectable)

*CompuStep® bake out feature prevents moisture at startup

*Built-in loop break, short, open, and reverse thermocouple protection

*"Boost" mode for temporary % of power output increase

The unit also offers ground-fault protection; adjustable set point limits; stores highest temperature detected; and is CE compliant.

The control accuracy of the Model RMC/P is +0.1°F (+0.1°C), depending on the total thermal system, with a temperature range of 32 to 999°F (0 to 53TC). Calibration accuracy ranges to better than 0.2% of full scale. Plus, power response times are better than 300 milliseconds and process sampling ranges to 100 milliseconds (nominal).
