Chips Ahoy: Eastwick Communications Bolsters Semiconductor Expertise with Creation of Electronics Practice
Eastwick Acquires Strategic Marketing Firm Mango Communications; Mango Founder and Veteran Electronics Industry Marketer Lynda Kaye to Lead New Eastwick Practice
Redwood City, CA (PRWEB) February 5, 2004 ---Eastwick Communications Inc. , one of the top independent high-tech PR agencies in the Silicon Valley, today announced the debut of its Electronics Practice, designed to provide strategic PR counsel to semiconductor, intellectual property (IP) development and electronic design automation (EDA) companies. Lynda Kaye, a former chip designer with two decades of technology applications engineering and marketing experience, will lead a team of communications professionals dedicated to the semiconductor industry, which analysts say is enjoying a revival, with worldwide chip sales expected to jump 18 percent this year.
"As the electronics industry recovers, it will be increasingly important for companies to successfully generate awareness for their products and services," said Dr. William Colleran, President and CEO of the celebrated Seattle-based chip startup, Impinj, Inc. "Lynda Kaye and Mango Communications have done a remarkable job helping companies to communicate their value to potential customers and investors. Mango's knowledge of the electronics industry combined with Eastwick's established reputation for effective business communications programs will be a valuable asset for companies who require the best strategic marketing and PR services."
With a roster of past and present clients in the enterprise, business intelligence, storage, speech and networking space, Eastwick always keeps a close eye on the market," said Barbara Bates, Eastwick Communications Principal. We saw an increased demand for semiconductor-related counsel and services and an opportunity for Eastwick-in developing a targeted Electronics Practice-to meet this need."
Bates also has years of experience providing marketing and public relations counsel to EDA and semiconductor-related clients such as GE Calma, Valid Logic Systems, PiE Design Systems, IDT, Cadence Design Systems, and others.
Eastwick will absorb the four-year-old, semiconductor-focused Mango Communications, becoming the premier agency in the Silicon Valley to combine a solid, client-proven infrastructure with semiconductor expertise. Eastwick has already formed a successful partnership with EDA leader Cadence Design Systems and fabless ASIC company Open-Silicon.
Eastwick is taking a real step forward with a new-found focus on the growing semiconductor market, and my vision is to make Eastwick the primary agency for servicing that sector," said Kaye. From EDA and IP to fabless semiconductor and chip supply chain companies, Eastwick is primed to offer expert counsel in all areas. Just as the semiconductor industry has embraced design and manufacturing outsourcing, companies can also benefit from outsourcing their strategic marketing and PR needs to an experienced agency with an electronics core competency and a fresh, outside perspective. And thats where Eastwick comes in."
