Live webcast for Hepatitis C Awareness Telethon airing February 7 on http://www.hepccoalition.com

Online benefit/telethon with local LA music artists to benefit the awareness of Hepatitis C.

(PRWEB) February 5, 2004 --Kelly Z, national spokesperson for the Hepatitis C Coalition and lead vocalist for the band Kellys Lot, will join co-host and comedian Courtney Cronin on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 from Noon-Midnight PST for a live 12-hour telethon of music and comedy to raise awareness about Hepatitis C on www.HepCCoalition.com. All proceeds will go towards The Hepatitis C Caring Ambassadors Program. This online marathon concert event will feature live performances, music videos and comedy from a wide range of stellar performers.

Music artists appearing on the telethon include Ernie Payne, Debra Davis, Moe Jones, Scott Detweiler, Kanary, Darci Monet, Lauren Adams, David Rowe, Laughing With LuLu, Gilli Moon, Gene Butler, Tom MacLear, Harriet Schock, Nellie Bly, Greg Upton, Cindy Alter, Lisa Johnson, Earl Grey, Charlie White, Bobi Jackson, Scared of Girls, Shredmistress, Sean Wiggins, Larry Marciano, Danielle Egnew and Kelly's Lot.

Featured music videos include artists Norine Braun, Breech, Nancy Luca, Stewboss, The Willies, Charlie Souza, Jamie Green, Jon Barem
Deb Pasternak and Red To Violet. Scheduled to enliven the event with comedy stylings are Matt Iseman, Kira Soltanovich, Chris Straight, Suzanne Sole, Bob Perkell, Becky Pedigo, John Keating, Jill Michelle Melean and Throwing Toasters.

Hepatitis C infects 1 in 50 American adults and is four times more prevalent than HIV and is the #1 reason for liver transplants in the United States. Eighty-five percent of those infected with Hepatitis C remain infected. Estimated deaths from the disease are expected to increase to 300% in the next ten to fifteen years. Spokesperson Kelly Z has dedicated the last 3 years on raising awareness of this illness after losing a close friend to the disease.
