Face to Face Media, Inc. launches MPK product, GETMPK.COM website and regional talent search.

The new product, called an MPK, is destined to be the new standard for promoting musicians, on-air personalities, performers, actors and other performing arts entities.

Rockville Centre, NY (PRWEB) February 5, 2004 --- MPK, a product and trademark of Face to Face Media, Inc., is essentially a collection of media elements (images, audio, video, text, graphics) programmed together with eye-catching graphics and transferred to CD-ROM or DVD media. The result is a high-tech multimedia experience that showcases the subjects unique talent, story and performance. The goal of the product is to provide performing arts and entertainment professionals with a reasonably-priced yet professional promotional tool that helps propel their career forward. The MPK product combines all of the traditional promotional methods such as press kits", web sites, music videos and demo" CDs into a single, high-resolution and highly-portable solution.

Face to Face Media, Inc. President, Michael Paternostro, said: The music business is dramatically different than it was even five years ago. With ever-shrinking budgets, A&R personnel, managers, agents and entertainment attorneys are all expected to do more with less. Those chartered with locating fresh talent are burdened with workloads that exceed the 60-70 hour weeks they typically work. Very few of them have time to survey local clubs and attend artist showcases. An exciting alternative is the MPK, which affords them the opportunity to evaluate an artist on a number of levels without ever leaving the comfort of their office or living room." Michael goes on to say that this also benefits the artist, in that they now have an opportunity to perform" for these industry professionals without ever leaving their home either. The MPK affords both parties many of the facets of a face-to-face meeting, virtually.

To launch the MPK product effectively, Face to Face Media, Inc. recently established the getmpk.com website. The site answers the four basic questions of what is it", why do I need it", how do I get it" and how much is it". The site also showcases excerpts from previous projects in an effort to make the product more tangible. The product can be extremely dynamic and can vary greatly in scope of content and visual style. To ease confusion and simplify the process, the product is offered in the three packages, namely, Bare Bones", Essentials", and Essentials Plus". Clients can customize these configurations and add a variety of Side Orders" to enhance their product. While an Essentials Plus MPK with all of the available Side Orders can reach $7500, typical package prices range from $1000 to $1800. Clients have the option of starting with a Bare Bones package today, and later build onto it as funding becomes available. Alternatively, artists may be able to share the funding burden with their manager or agent in order to afford a more effective presentation. Side Orders include photo shoots, video production, audio recording services and web site services. Michael states: The cost of an MPK is in line with what a photography studio might charge an on-air personality for a head-shot portfolio, and the MPK provides far greater value." He goes on to say that a side benefit of getmpk.com is that all of the services required to assemble an MPK are offered all under one roof" simplifying the process for his clients and reducing costs for his company.


In addition to the website launch, getmpk.com and Face to Face Media, Inc. affiliate DreamMaker Sound (a Westbury, Long Island based audio recording facility and division of SoundVox Studio, Inc.) are co-sponsoring an event entitled Winter 2004 AMP Search New York. The event is a talent search of sorts, with an emphasis on an artists potential, rather than their current status or image; hence, AMP or the Artist with the Most Potential". Michael explains: The AMP Search is not a battle of the bands" or competition in the traditional sense. Thats been done before and has its place in the music scene. Our event is focused on finding the diamond in the rough" that simply needs a little polishing to really shine. The reason for this is we are also looking for a marquee artist" to showcase on our getmpk.com website and in our MPK promotional DVD. We would love to find the artist that can most benefit from our services and hopefully help them get noticed by industry professionals. That would be the best advertisement we could hope for." The Winter 2004 AMP Search is a metro New York area regional search. If the event is successful, Face to Face Media, Inc. hopes to introduce the event to other regional markets and in biannual event cycles.

Sometime in March, 2004, getmpk.com will select one artist, the Artist with the Most Potential", to receive an award consisting of a getmpk.com services package which includes an MPK Essentials version, audio recording session, performance video and companion website.
