LUSTRA pens 'catchy' title track for movie, EUROTRIP to be released February 20th.
LUSTRA, the very unserious and punky rock band formerly of Boston was selected by the directors of 'EUROTRIP' to write a really crass song specifically for a big scene in the movie. The directors, David Mandel, Jeff Schaffer, and Alec Berg are best known for their writing for Seinfeld. This is their directorial debut. LUSTRA appear in the movie with a certain celeb cameoing as their singer.
(PRWEB) February 9, 2004 --LUSTRA continue to be typecast as villains in the upcoming comedy EUROTRIP to be released in theaters nationwide on February 20th. The movie features the acting talents of Michelle Trachtenberg, Travis Wester, Scott Mechlowicz, and Jacob Pitts as well as cameos by a variety of household names. Interestingly, the cameo spots are mostly as villains, torturing our young protagonists as they trek through Europe to help the lead character, Scott Thomas, find his true love.
LUSTRA, who wrote the title track 'Scotty Doesn't Know' for the movie, were flown to Prague to appear as themselves in a big party scene. "It was a really awesome time," says Nick Cloutman, "we had to stay up all night for a week which is kind of what we do anyway, the difference being that we were well fed and shacking up in a five-star hotel." Apparently those who have screened the flick really enjoy the song. "If you ask people who have seen the screenings what was funny about the movie, they all say 'the song! the song'," said Nick Bobetsky of Milan Records.
The Soundtrack for the movie will be released by Milan records and features tracks from Goldfinger, Wakefield, The Jam, Apollo 440, and David Hasselhoff, among others.
