Mama says, Money Doesnt Grow on Trees!"

Kids Guide to the World of Investments -- produced by Phat Math, Inc.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) February 17, 2004 --Math-that four-letter word that brings unspeakable dread to kids. Math-that boring and difficult subject that makes them, and you, want to scream your heads off. Lets face it-math is not always as easy as pie. But with the fun new book, Mama says, "Money Doesn't Grow on Trees!" kids can master math in no time. This new math edutainment book is written by Dr. Iris Mack -- CEO of Phat Math, Inc. Dr Mack - a former consultant, investment banker, and former Enron Energy trader who has also taught at MIT, University of San Francisco, and Clark Atlanta University - hopes the book will help kids fall in love with math through the use of hip multicultural characters and real life applications of math.

Xlibris top royalty earner for this quarter, the book shows how kids can learn about the world of investments via math. The animated character Dr. Mackamatix introduces them to some of her multicultural animated hip-hop buddies-Al G. Bro, Professor Zero, Frakshun, Ma$, Queen%, and Nada. Together they will take kids on many adventures through the World of Dr. Mackamatix, which is sort of like a hip-hop version of Sesame Street. A big appeal of the book is that it shows kids how math is APPLIED in the REAL world, as opposed to simply dwelling on esoteric concepts. For example, one of the students, Ma$, asks Professor Zero to teach her how math is used to invest money. He teaches her how to learn more math by learning how money grows in a savings account. Yep, he shows her that money doesnt grow on trees!

One of the fans of this new book is Mrs. Karen Pritzker-whose family foundation has contributed to various educational causes. Mrs. Pritzker writes of Dr. Macks new book: I do love your project. I think it would be great to see this book series developed into a TV series. Making math fun would be a great public service!"
