About the Society: Founded in 1989, the Silicon Valley EOS/ESD Society is a nonprofit, unincorporated organization. The society strives for the advancement and understanding of the theory and practice of electrical overstress (EOS) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) in the principle fields of electronics, magnetic recording and semiconductor devices. The Silicon Valley EOS/ESD Society is dedicated to understanding and improving ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) detection & protection procedures. Our Education committee organizes tutorials periodically to present scientific, technical and ESD educational materials to those working in the semiconductor, electronic, magnetic recording and other related areas.

Silicon Valley EOS/ ESD Society members include managers, engineers, technicians, assembly, suppliers, quality assurance and reliability, R&D, sales and marketing, purchasing, and a number of other interested individuals. In the heart of the Silicon Valley, and with our obvious ties to Silicon Valley corporations, now in the Pacific Rim, our members enjoy benefits from being part of a successful organization with many programs to offer.
