Houston based Author Kaye P. Brooks Invited to Join Secretary Tommy Thompson in the African American Leadership Roundtable.
The African American Leadership Roundtable is set to discuss abstinence education programming. The Roundtable will be held in Washington, DC on February 7-8, 2004.The meeting will begin on February 4th at 6:00 p.m., and will be held at a hotel near the Department of Health and Human Services.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 8, 2004 --The African American Leadership Roundtable is set to discuss abstinence education programming. The Roundtable will be held in Washington, DC on February 4-5, 2004.The meeting will begin on February 4th at 6:00 p.m., and will be held at a hotel near the Department of Health and Human Services. The evening will include a reception and dinner,followed by an overview of abstinence research and policy by Ted Greene, and a discussion of abstinence and HIV/AIDS in the faith community by Reverend Eugene Rivers.
The goal of the Roundtable is to highlight the successes of abstinence programs and activities in the African American community.Brooks was invited to participate
Brooks, author of "It's Your Thang: Sexual Choices & Their Consequences" was invited to participate by the National Coalition of Pan African Lutheran Family Health Centers due to "her expertise in the area of abstinence education," says Vivian Berryhill.
