Access Autopilot software released today promises 'set and forget' Access database administration tools for Network Administrators.

Access Autopilot software released today by CRiSP Software promises 'set and forget' peace of mind for network administrators managing Microsoft Access databases across their organization.

(PRWEB) February 12, 2004 --Access Autopilot software released today by CRiSP Software promises 'set and forget' peace of mind for network administrators managing Microsoft Access databases across their organization.

This server based software will save hours of time and frustration by ensuring critical backup, compact and archive operations are automatically scheduled overnight. Devised as more than just an automated compact utility, it offers a total access database 'back-end' administration control panel.

Remote admin features include a 'whos in' feature that reveals which users and computers are connected to the database, then allows a custom admin message to be sent immediately to their desktop e.g. 'Please exit the application!'.

Running as a robust Windows service for reliability, this server based tool will manage an unlimited number of access databases spread across an organization. Perfect for taking control of disparate Microsoft Access databases, managing them from one central location. An unlimited number of maintenance jobs can be set for each database profile, creating your own centralized 'database of databases!'.

Best Backup (R) technology determines if users are in a database, then chooses the best method of backup including extracting table data out to an external database. This creates frequent reliable, date archived, corrupt free copies of your database.

Access Autopilot can even be set to monitor the database until all users have exited before performing maintenance tasks.

Flexible naming conventions for archived backups, such as dates, incrementing numbers or backup sets ensure locating a past backup is predictable and reliable.

Other useful features includes quick database statistics such as identifying record counts, last compact and backup dates, database size etc. Database statistics can be monitored from the server to identify bottlenecks.

Custom macros can be scheduled to perform more specialized tasks such as purging or archiving historic records, or even executing another application.

Access Autopilot is essential for network administrators, database administrators and Access developers in multi-user environments.

Access Autopilot has been released by CRiSP Software (est. 1999), an Australian company that globally develops and supports Access database related tools.

A 30 day Trial evaluation version is available from http://www.access-autopilot.com

The full product can be purchased for US$249 including priority support, on a per server basis. Only one license is required, to manage an unlimited number of databases.
