Philippines (PRWEB) February 10, 2004 --The National Consumers Affairs Foundation named Journey Philippines Visitors Guide as The Most Promising Travel Magazine that was held recently at the AFP Theater.

Published by AdFokus, Journey Philippines Visitors Guide was chosen from a select number of titles in competition for the award because of its standout contemporary visual appeal and practical content and information, particularly for local and foreign tourists.

Originally letter-sized, Journey Philippines Visitors Guide was first conceived in 1990. AdFokus re-launched the magazine last December of 2003, transforming it into an avant-garde 4"x 8" format, full-color, monthly publication-well suited to todays alternative trends in the print industry.

We are very happy that Journey Philippines Visitors Guide was given the distinction. This early, our magazine has already started to reap success in terms of industry recognition. This bolsters our confidence, even more, that the Philippine print industry is still a good market to tap-especially for travel and tourism related publications. This also serves as an inspiration for us at AdFokus to strengthen our venture into the publishing scene by introducing new concepts, new titles and even reviving the popular ones weve made before," said Norman Tandoc, the 2003 Peoples Choice awardee, publisher of the magazine and president of AdFokus.

AdFokus was established on March 4, 1998 as a dynamic company that offers a host of professional communications and mass media services. AdFokus specializes in print, radio, television, cinema placements and production, TV commercials, audio-visual production, billboard, video editing, special events management and public relations. Spearheading AdFokus, Norman A. Tandoc has consistently produced successful titles in the field of publication. Noted of which are Journey Philippines, Metro Cebu Journal, Pic 'n Buy Journal and Motor Sports Magazine, to name a distinct few. Last year, AdFokus bagged the 2003 National Consumers Affairs Foundation award as The Most Improved Advertising Agency of the Year".

Journey Philippines Visitors Guide is a limited, free-copy magazine and initially available only in select hotels, embassies, shopping centers, airports, high tourist traffic areas and distribution points in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao.
