Pleasure Island Toastmasters Invite You to New Home

Toastmasters Meet Tuesdays at Gulf Shores Golf Club

Gulf Shores, AL (PRWEB) February 12, 2004 --It has been less than a year since the Pleasure Island Toastmasters Club of Gulf Shores received its official chartered in May of 2003 with twenty founding members, and the club continues to grow. In the goal of recruiting new members, the club would like to invite the public to their next meeting at the Gulf Shores Golf Club Clubhouse.

Pleasure Island Toastmasters club founder and Vice President of Membership, Victoria Cusumano, is pleased with the Toastmasters new home. The clubhouse restaurant is open seven days a week, from 6:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., and accommodates special events and meetings for groups and organizations like Toastmasters. Pleasure Island Toastmasters Club meetings are called to order at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and end at 7:00 p.m. Golf Club Restaurant Manager, Stacy Martin, is on hand to serve dinner from the grill to all attendees. No stranger to public speaking (Martin trained sales people in presentation skills in a former job), Martin says he enjoys observing the meetings and hopes to see the organization grow, Toastmasters is a terrific organization, something the community could use".

Dedicated to its mission to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, people from all backgrounds learn to effectively speak, conduct a meeting, manage a department or business, lead, delegate, and motivate. Toastmasters is open to all persons, aged eighteen years and above.

An atmosphere of professional camaraderie makes your Toastmasters Club a unique learning environment -- informal, yet dedicated to learning. And the Toastmasters program can be tailored to meet your personal objectives. Whether you desire improvement in prepared or impromptu speaking, or greater skill in the use of visual aids, experience and knowledge is to be gained in the areas that most interest you.
