JobGuru.com Now Allows Employers To Screen Candidates For A Better Match

JobGuru.com launches three new features in January, 2004. Only 4 or 5 other job boards have technology this advanced.

Courtenay, BC (PRWEB) February 10, 2004 --JobGuru.com launches three new features in January, 2004. Only 4 or 5 other job boards have technology this advanced.

Apply Online:
Gives job applicants three easy ways to apply for a job: (1) Login & Apply; (2) Add a Resume & Apply; (3) Apply Only. This makes it extremely easy for a candidate to apply for a job, whether they are registered at JobGuru.com or not.

Registered users who have already posted a resume (they can post up to 5 cover letters and 5 resumes) can easily select the cover letter or resume they want to use to apply to a particular job. They can instantly post a new resume or edit an existing resume.

If job applicants don't want to register, they can still apply for a job with Apply Only. Most career sites force job applicants to register. Many don't want to register, so employers never get their resumes. Apply Only means employers end up getting more resumes!

Many other features make Apply Online at JobGuru.com the best in the industry!

Candidate Questionnaires:
When an employer posts a job they can create a Questionnaire to screen candidates, which becomes part of the Apply Online process when a candidate applies for a job. Employers can create a unique Questionnaire for each job, or select from a Questionnaire they have already created and saved. Employers can create an unlimited number of Questionnaires with an unlimited number of questions.

JobGuru.com has also created Standard Questionnaires, such as one for a Sales Executive, which employers can select, then add, edit, or delete questions to customize it for their particular job. These Standard Questionnaires save employers time.

Companies can ask "Regular Questions" designed to see if the candidate is the right fit for the job (i.e. How would your present customers describe you as their Sales Executive?). Or, companies can ask a "Screening Question" (i.e. Do you have an MBA?). If the candidate does not meet the minimum requirement set by the employer for the Screening Questions, then the resume is flagged "Did Not Pass Screening." This makes it easy for employers to delete unwanted resumes, the number one frustration employers have with posting jobs at job boards.

Online Reporting:
From the Employer Dashboard" employers can see at a glance how many times each job has been viewed and applied for. By quickly identifying how each job posting is performing, employers can make changes to improve results. When job candidates search for jobs at JobGuru.com, the search engine returns jobs in order of relevancy, similar to a search engine like Google. If employers have a poorly written job ad then their job will probably not show up near the top of the results. Most job candidates only look at the first 20 to 40 jobs at the very most, so it is important that employers job ads are written carefully.
