Alderman Flores Chief of Staff Heavily Endorsed Candidate For Commissioner of Cook County MWRD

Ms. Xochitl Flores, stated I am very pleased that the Independent Voters of Illinois have endorsed my candidacy. IVI-IPO is highly respected organization of non-partisan voters, dating back to 1944. I consider their support important in my desire to become Commissioner and first female engineer of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.

Xochitl (pronounced So-She") Flores is a lifelong resident of Chicagos southwest side and received her Degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University. She is uniquely qualified in leading and managing large organizations, including her experience consulting for numerous Fortune 500 companies around the world. Xochitl Flores led consulting teams that advised senior executives on boosting productivity and improving service levels at leading companies such as McDonalds and Mitsubishi.

In the public sector, Xochitl Flores served as a consultant to the Chicago Housing Authority, advising the agency on streamlining their procurement and human resource processes for its multimillion-dollar technology plan.
