Electricity meters are produced in about 40 countries and are used all over the world
Research and Markets have announced the addition of the 'Electricity Meters - Multi-Utility Series report to their offering.
(PRWEB) February 14, 2004 --Meters are produced in about 40 countries and used in all countries. The electricity meter database contains 10 separate data series and forecasts. All data sets and forecasts show every country in the world separately. 2002 is the base year for the 3rd edition of this database and the first set of data provides production, imports, exports and market size for every country in $ values for the year 2002. The second forecast gives unit annual demand, broken into two categories, industrial high voltage meters and residential meters for the year 2002. The third and fourth data sets contain forecasts from 2002 to 2007, in units and $ value of annual demand for all electricity meters in every country separately.
Exports from 42 manufacturing countries, which account for an estimated 97% of world production of electricity meters are shown in three data sets, each covering the six years from 1997 to 2002. Figures are provided for units exported, $ vales and average unit price. These files show clear tends in trade and major changes in the world market.
Global trade is presented in two files, analysed by units and volume. Trade is provided for the three year period from 1999-2001, averaged to even out peaks and troughs in demand, especially in small countries. There are many large annual variations in imports and exports, especially for small countries, that single country figures can show a distorted picture of sustainable demand. These averages can be compared with the annual export figures in the previous data sets. This data is based on exports from the producing countries to every country in the world. There can be substantial difference between the imports recorded inwards and exports outwards, imports sometimes being only shown by receiving countries as a fraction of the exports recorded by the exporting countries and experience has shown the export data to be more reliable.
