Second 'Worlds Smallest Film Festival Will Take Center Stage in March at the CTIA Wireless 2004 Conference and Exhibition in Atlanta, GA

Festival highlights include a presentation of top digital content created for viewing on mobile and wireless devices, selected by an independent panel of film and technology experts.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 16, 2004 --BigDigit, Inc., a pioneer and worldwide leader in made-for-mobile content distribution for the mobile phone market, will for a second year produce its 'Worlds Smallest Film Festival as part of the influential CTIA Wireless 2004 conference and exhibition, scheduled to take place March 22-24 in Atlanta, GA.

The 'World's Smallest Film Festival will showcase some of the most exciting and innovative digital media produced for small-format mobile phones and communications-enabled mobile devices. Among the highlights of event will be daily presentations of made-for-mobile films, TV series, cartoons, and music videos as produced my many of the leading artists in this emerging field. Winners of the CTIA 'Worlds Smallest Film Festival are selected by an independent panel of judges who evaluate each entry in terms of its creativity, entertainment value, and effective use currently available mobile technology.

There have been many developments in the world of mobile multimedia since our first 'Worlds Smallest Film Festival at CTIA Wireless 2003," explains Beau Buck, BigDigit CEO. Since that time, all of the major mobile carriers in the U.S. and abroad are either committed to or are seriously evaluating mobile multimedia offerings as a means of driving sales of services as well as devices. Licensing requests from our extensive library of made-for-mobile video content have increased dramatically."

'Worlds Smallest Film Festival presentations are scheduled to take place on each day of the CTIA 2004 event on a special stage located on the Mobile Entertainment Expo exhibit floor. During these presentations, BigDigit executives and sponsors will show the best of its digital content entries, demonstrate the technology and explain why such mobile media is expected to quickly revolutionize the mobile content market. BigDigit will also release details of mFlix, The Mobile Entertainment Channel, which will be available later this year through major mobile distribution channels worldwide.

This second 'Worlds Smallest Film Festival follows the companys first 'Worlds Smallest TV Festival, which took place in January along with The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) annual conference. NATPE is a non-profit global alliance of business professionals engaged in the creation, development and distribution of content, as well as advertising and financial activities. The group currently has more than 700 members worldwide, representing a wide base of television executives, distributors and producers.

This summer, 'The Worlds Smallest Animation Festival is planned, to focus attention on vector and other animated content such mobile cartoons. Details of 'The Worlds Smallest Animation Festival venue will be available shortly.

In September 2004 BigDigit will also produceThe Worlds Smallest Film Festival -- London in association with the Mobile Commerce World conference and exhibition. Mobile Commerce World attracts executive --level mobile and wireless decision makers from throughout Europe and the world. Filmmakers are invited to submit submitted entries this event, as well as for other planned festivals worldwide. The company has presentations and 'Worlds Smallest Mobile Media Festivals scheduled in association with major events and major film festivals throughout 2004 and into 2005.
