Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) February 15, 2004 --‘EVERYBODY LOVES A PARADE, BUT HOW DO I BUILD A FLOAT?’

Local parades have long been a source of community pride and unite community members and organizations. Local parade organizers, however, are always worrying about parade participation and quality of floats.

The major source of concern for parade participants is the perceived difficulty of building a parade. Until now few resources were available to learn how to be build a float.

WEB SEMINAR BRINGS FLOAT BUILDING TO EVERY HOME AND OFFICE

Web Seminars are a perfect solution for education, training people who don't have time or the resources to attend regular seminars – or when seminars are not available. It allows students to learn via their PC – documentation, tools, etc. – live and real-time without leaving their desk!

Students will see programs as clearly as if they were sitting by the side of the presenter, watching the PC. All that’s needed is a phone and a computer with Internet access. Programs can be recorded to share later with others!

The ‘Parade Float Web Seminar’ will delight many in small communities! It will assist those interested in participating in local parades to do so with ease and fun.

It will make the local parade an even greater source of community pride! Subjects covered in the Web Seminar are: where to start, what is needed, how to put ideas or theme on a unit, different construction ideas, new renovations and sources of materials, and more!

Cost for the Web Seminar is only $99.95 per computer user and can be attended by friends and colleagues sharing the same computer.

The Web Seminar is also available upon request, for local adaptation and use by affinity organizations.

INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS COVERED

The Web Seminar will not only explain how to build custom floats but also emphasize how to decorate regular cars, trucks, and trailers.

This will make participating vehicles look better and enhance the appearance of the entire parade. Innovative products are the ‘Parade In A Bag’, 'Inflatable Paradables', and Personalized Parade Banners.

PRESENTED BY INDUSTRY EXPERT

The Web Seminar’s Presenter is Vance Baird, Coordinator, North Iowa Band Festival. Baird started working with the festival while employed as a teacher and coach at the area community college. Part of his work with the student body was the construction of floats for the festival parade.

While serving on the festival committee he was actively involved with the entertainment for the event. In 1997 he was asked to coordinate the event and has served in that capacity since. In 2001 he started FCS (Festival Consulting Service,) his own festival consulting agency; he serves in both positions today.

MASON CITY’S BAND FESTIVAL IS AMERICA’S PARADE!

Baird’s Web Seminar will originate from Mason City, IA, home of the North Iowa Band Festival. This 66-year-old event is believed to have played a large part in the formation of ideas for “The Music Man”.

Mason City is the hometown of author Meredith Wilson. The event is held annually held the last weekend in May and has grown into a 4-day festival of music and family entertainment.

Highlights include large parade featuring marching bands, floats, and professional units with over 150 entrees and a weekend of free musical entertainment. More information is available at http://www.masoncityia.com/
